Watch the first trailer for Amazon’s The Tick
If you haven’t seen enough men in bright blue spandex with fake abs today, here’s your chance. Amazon’s rebooted version of The Tick just got its first trailer, which premiered this morning on Entertainment Weekly. The show got a series order from Amazon last year, and is set to premiere next month.
The Tick stars Peter Serafinowicz as The Tick and Griffin Newman as his nerdy accountant sidekick Arthur Everest. The original comic book series and ‘90s animated show poked fun at classic superhero stories, and going by the trailer, it looks like Amazon’s version is going to rely on slapstick and Serafinowicz’s goofy superhero baritone for most of its laughs.
