Art institute celebrates 10th anniversary

Melody Foundation, an art institute in Dwarka Sector 22, celebrated their 10th anniversary. A concert was organised at the Stein auditorium, India Habitat Centre on August 23. The event was inaugurated by the founder of the institute, Madhumita Acharya Biswas, a vocalist in Delhi and chief guests Padmashree Shovana Narayan, sarod maestro Pandit Narendra Nath Dhar and Pandit Raj Kumar Misra.

The evening started with an invocation to Ganesh and Saraswati. Saberi Misra, showcased many specialties of the Jaipur gharana in her kathak recital. The main attraction of the evening was a sarod recital by Pandit Narendra Nath Dhar of Seniya Shahjahanpur Gharana. Kathak guru Rajendra Gangani, sitarist Uday Mazumdar and others attended it.
