PM Modi extends Holi greetings, invites ideas for PMO mobile app

In personalised e-mail messages to countrymen, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings on the occasion of Holi. In a sign of the Prime Minister’s great interest in vibrant digital initiatives to reach out to people on festive occasions, Modi invoked the spirit of brotherhood and harmony in wishing people a colourful Holi. He had done the same on Diwali last year as well.

The email message also invites suggestions from people for the Prime Minister Office’s (PMO) mobile app. Till the time this article was published, over 900 suggestions were received. They varied from queries about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to live video hangouts and creation of citizen grievance box.

The email message also exhorts users to interact directly with the Prime Minister using social media tools like Twitter and Facebook.
