India invented medicine to bring dead to life, says MP minister
When everyone from the Prime Minister to the DRDO chief invokes Hindu mythology to appropriate medical advances like genetic science and plastic surgery, it’s only natural a minister in Madhya Pradesh says that India invented the medicine to bring the dead to life.
“Sajeevani medicine that brings dead to life was available in India. The invaders who ruled us gave secondary status to our ancient inventions and medicines. As a result we started forgetting (inventions and medicines),” Madhya Pradesh Technical Education Minister Umashankar Gupta said at a technical workshop organised at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre. The minister said India produced great medical practitioners (vaidyas) like Charak, Dhanwantari and Sushen and added, “The formulae they came up with are still available in ancient treatises.”
