‘PK’ has pushed boundaries: Shazahn Padamsee

A day after Bollywood star Aamir Khan apologised for hurting the sentiments of people in his last film “PK“, Bollywood actress Shazahn Padamsee has heaped praise on the controversial film saying it has set an example of making films which pushes the boundary a little more.
“I loved ‘PK’… people had not seen such a subject before. It was interesting to have a film which is pushing the boundary a little more,” Shazahn told PTI in an interview during the launch of Uber beauty salon here.
Aamir had apologised by saying there was no intention by the filmmakers to hurt religious sentiments of people. The film, which received rave reviews and set the box office on fire, earned the ire of several groups, who claimed “PK” hurt the sentiments of the people.
The film took a dig at godmen and religious practices.

“PK” has set examples for films, Shazahn said. “The film is setting examples for other films. It is a fabulous film. I don’t have any negative things to say about it,” she added.
Shazahn said she would love to work with Aamir because the actor does everything right.
“Aamir Khan tops the list of actors who I want to work with because he is just brilliant in everything he does,” she said. ”
Shazahn said she was very comfortable working with Ranbir Kapoor, who she acted with in her debut film “Rocket Singh”.
“I have a learnt lot, both on-screen and off-screen, from Ranbir. He is kind… He is a very dedicated actor,” she said.
On Ajay Devgn, her co-star in “Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji”, Shazahn said it was fun working with him. “Ajay is a total prankster. He has a sarcastic humour,” she said.
Shazahn also had some good words for her Telugu co-star Ram Charan Teja, with whom she had acted in “Orange”. “I had problem with the Telugu language, but Ram Charan helped me mug up the lines,” she said.
Showing her awe for director Mahesh Bhatt, Shazahn said it was interesting to work with him as he is facing the camera for the first time as an actor in “Siddhartha”.
“It was interesting to see Bhatt saab facing the camera as the actor – he is acting in ‘Siddhartha,’. It was inspiring. During interactions in breaks, I could realise he was an absolute walking encyclopedia,” she said.
