Katrina Kaif to play a Pakistani, Aditya Roy Kapur a Kashmiri in Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor’
‘Fitoor’ is a modern take on Charles Dickens’ popular novel ‘Great Expectations’.
After ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, actress Katrina Kaif will yet again be seen playing a Pakistani onscreen in the upcoming Abhishek Kapoor movie ‘Fitoor’, opposite Aditya Roy Kapur.
The movie, which is a modern take on Charles Dickens’ popular novel ‘Great Expectations’ went on floors by the end of last year and since then, a a level of secrecy has been maintained over the cast and plot of the movie.

Reports say that the movie depicts the relationship between three characters – a young Kashmiri boy named Noor (Aditya), his muse Firdaus (Katrina) and the Begum (Rekha). Katrina and Aditya recently wrapped up the Kashmir schedule and are currently shooting in the national capital.
‘Fitoor’ also stars veteran actress Rekha and is slated to release in February 2016. Lara Dutta and Ajay Devgn will be seen doing cameos in the movie.
