Rajasthan Govt to initiate action against makers of Mallika Sherawat starrer ‘Dirty Politics’
The film-makers of Mallika Sherawat’s recently released movie ‘Dirty Politics’, had taken no permissions for shooting in the state and hence action will be initiated against them.
Days after a BJP legislator raised objections to negative portrayal of the state legislative assembly building in Mallika Sherawat’s recently released movie ‘Dirty Politics’ that is based on the rape and murder of midwife Bhanwari Devi, state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore said that the film-maker had taken no permissions for shooting in the state and hence action will be initiated against them.
On Thursday, Rathore told the House during the ongoing budget session of assembly that the Jaipur collector and police commissioner have confirmed that no permission was sought from either of the authorities to shoot the movie or use images from the state assembly building.

The posters of the movie directed by KC Bokadia, features Sherawat draped in a tricolour, wielding a CD, as she sits on a car with a red-beacon parked in front of the imposing Rajasthan Legislative Assembly building.
Rathore said that the makers of the movie did not follow rules of Rajasthan Film Shooting Act, National Emblem Act and Name Act and sought no permission whatsover before shooting the movie. He said that such portrayal has hurt the image and prestige of the Vidhan Sabha. “This has not only caused embarrassement to us but also brought down the dignity of the House,” he said on Thursday.
Citing from the various Acts, Rathore said that prior permission has to be sought before filming the Vidhan Sabha, Supreme Court, High Court or Parliament and they cannot be portrayed in a negative light. The minister said that action will be initiated against the producer of the film.
