Sources said two-three terrorists stormed into the camp throwing hand grenades around 5.40 am. They appear to be part of the same group who had sneaked into Kathua from across the international border on Thursday night.
However, in the Indian territory, they appear to have bifurcated into groups, with one attacking Rajbagh police station and the other proceeding to Samba to attack the army camp.
Fierce fighting is in progress as army have engaged the terrorists. Reinforcements have been sent, while police have sealed the Jammu-Pathankote national highway as a precautionary measure.
