Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ‘Jazbaa’ might be screened at Cannes this year.

We’ve waited for this nearly five years and finally the day is approaching. The release date of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback film, ‘Jazbaa’ has been announced. Also starring Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi Abhimanyu Singh, Atul Kulkarni and Chandan Roy Sanyal, will hit theatres on October 9, this year.

The announcement was made on Wednesday via a statement, and Gupta confirmed this on his Twitter page.

He wrote: “Let the countdown begin! J A Z B A A releases October 9th, 2015.”

Production house, Zee Entertainment Enterprises has designed a new innovative campaign for the film’s release, which is said to surely set the trend in the industry.

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, ‘Jazbaa’, is one of the most sought after films from distributors and exhibitors across the country. The makers are hurrying with the completion of the film, so that it can premiere at Cannes International Film Festival.

‘Jazbaa’ is co-written by Kamlesh Pandey and Robin Bhatt, with cinematography by Sameer Arya, editing by Bunty Nagi and Resul Pookutty.

If sources are to be believed, the makers are racing against time to complete the film as they intend to showcase it at the Cannes International Film Festival this year.
