Dibakar Banerjee keen to show ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ to retired Lieutenant General Bakshi
Director Dibakar Banerjee is ready with his next movie ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ starring Sushant Singh Rajput and is keen to show the movie to Zorawar Chand Bakhshi, who is a retired soldier of the Indian Army and has the distinction of being India’s most decorated General.

Based on the fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi created by Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ is set in 1943, in the back drop of the Second World War.

Since, Liuetenant General Bakshi was present during that period and was a part of the war, Banerjee wants to show his work to him.
Bakshi’s first major battle was against the Japanese in Burma in the Second World War after he was commissioned into the Baloch Regiment of the British Indian Army in 1942 where he earned a Mention in Despatches for overcoming a heavily fortified Japanese position.
‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ hits the theatres this Friday (April 3).
