Bachchans to walk the ramp for Shabana Azmi’s ‘Mijwan’
Shabana Azmi feels overwhelmed that the stars agreed to be a part of this charitable cause.
It’s a casting coup of sorts from Shabana Azmi where she plans to bring on-stage never-before-pairs to walk on the ramp for her annual fashion show in aid of the weavers of Mijwan, Shabana Azmi’s ancestral village in Uttar Pradesh.
For this event, according to a report published in BollywoodHungama.com, the entire Bachchan clan – Big B, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya – is supposed to walk the ramp. Not only this, Shabana Azmi plans to bring Shatrughan Sinha to walk with his daughter Sonakshi, and evergreen Anil Kapoor with his daughter Sonam.
Also Javed Akhtar would walk with son Farhan for the first time.
Shabana Azmi feels overwhelmed that the stars agreed to be a part of this charitable cause. She says, “I don’t know how they agreed. But yes, the entire Bachchan family will walk the ramp together for the first time. It’s an honour and a privilege. Anil-Sonam, Javed-Farhan, Shatru-Sonakshi, Shankar Mahadevan and his son Sid, are all walking the ramp on Saturday. The theme is Mijwan The Legacy and it is our fifth year. We have come a long way. The film industry has always been so supportive. I feel overwhelmed.”
