Censor Board member Ashoke Pandit again calls chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani ‘anarchist’
Pandit also mentioned how the Bhatts have incurred losses of about Rs 60 lakhs owing to the delay in release due to the late certification.
The rift in the Censor Board of India is out in the open yet again as one of the members Ashoke Pandit took to Twitter to slam (yet again) CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani and called him “Anarchist”.
It so happened that when today Mahesh Bhatt’s next venture ‘Mr. X’ starring Emraan Hashmi was cleared and it finally got its certification, Ashoke Pandit, who is said to be Bhatt’s friend tweeted:
Finally Mukesh & @MaheshNBhatt get their Censor Certificate which was cleared bt illegally withheld by the Chairman. #MrX #Anarchist.

Pandit also mentioned how the Bhatts have incurred losses of about Rs 60 lakhs owing to the delay in release due to the late certification.
Mukesh Bhatt & @MaheshNBhatt lose 60 lacs due to the unnecessary delay of their film by the Chairman of #CBFC. Sad.

‘Mr. X’ is said to have some intimate scenes between the lead pair – Emraan Hashmi and Amyra Dastur. The movie is slated to release on the coming weekend.
Earlier also filmmaker Ashoke Pandit had accused chairman Pahlaj Nihalani of being a “tyrant” and creating an “anarchic environment” while another member Chandraprakash Dwivedi voiced discontent over its functioning. Pandit has taken to Facebook to slam Nihalani, saying Anushka Sharma’s ‘NH10′ was a victim of his “crass functioning”.
However, in an interview given to BollywoodHungama.com, Pahlaj Nihalani has denied all the allegations made against him and said that it’s all but a lie and that he is ready to resign if they are proved right. “The fact is, since I took over as the chairperson in January I’ve seen and certified only two films Focus (Will Smith) and NH10 personally. The allegation that I see EVERY film is false and maliciousm” says he.
