Alia Bhatt missed Mijwan for ‘Udta Punjab’
According to reports, Alia Bhatt was busy with Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’, as a result could not spare herself for the evening.
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is a busy girl and that is one of the main reasons which made ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya’ miss walking the ramp for Mijwan Show 2015 on Saturday evening. The annual Mijwan show was a star -studded affair that saw Bollywood’s famous fathers – Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha and Anil Kapoor – walked the ramp with their daughters.

Alia Bhatt was to walk the ramp with her mother and former actress Soni Razdan.

The Mijwan Welfare Society had also made an official announcement about Alia attending the event.

According to reports, Alia Bhatt was busy with Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’, as a result could not spare herself for the evening.
A source told Mid-Day, “She has just wrapped up her schedule of Udta Punjab a few days ago in Punjab and wanted to support this cause. But some important work came up and she had to miss it. Alia’s outfit was ready, the stage was set, but with this piece of news, the organisers had to make last minute changes.”

Another celebrity, who gave the show a miss was actor Arjun Kapoor. He was to walk the ramp with his father filmmaker Boney Kapoor. The actor’s spokesperson said, “He was scheduled to travel and the dates couldn’t be changed. Shabana Azmi was keen to have him and Boney Kapoor, but unfortunately it didn’t work out this year.”
The theme of this year’s Mijwan show was based on parents and their children.
