TV host Nick Cannon says his estranged wife Mariah Carey will always be special for him.

The 34-year-old star, who has twins with Carey, 45, separated from her, last year.

“Through this learning process, you never say never. To me one thing I know, that will always be the love of my life, always be my family and that’s never going to change,” Cannon said.

The “America’s Got Talent” host said he admires Carey for keeping their personal issues out of the spotlight, despite media’s interest in their split, reported E! Online.

“That’s one thing I actually admire Mariah because she is professional. You ain’t going to get nothing out of her. I was like you know what, I’m learning. I’m learning,” he said.
