Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan together in Vishal Bharadwaj’s next?
After bringing together actors like Pankaj Kapur, Tabu, Irrfan Khan and Ajay Devgn and delivering critically acclaimed movies like ‘Haider’, ‘Omkara’ and ‘Maqbool’, Vishal Bharadwaj is up for yet another casting coup of sorts.
According to a report published in DNA, Vishal Bharadwaj is planning to cast Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan together in a movie. While Bharadwaj has worked with Saif in the 2006 movie ‘Omkara’, he has teamed with Shahid in the National Award winning ‘Haider’ last year and 2011 ‘Kaminey’.
After wrapping up work on his next, Vikas Bahl’s ‘Shaandaar’, Shahid Kapoor is currently shooting for Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’, which will be followed by ‘Magadheera’ remake, after which he is expected to start shooting for Bharadwaj’s movie. Shahid is also supposed to get married by the end of this year.
Shahid’s ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor’s husband, Saif will soon start work on Sujoy Ghosh’s Bollywood adaptation of the Japanese thriller ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’.
Rumour also has it that the two-hero movie is an adaptation of another Shakespearean tragedy ‘King Lear’, though Bharadwaj has denied this.
The movie is expected to go on floors by early 2016.
