Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan to star in 1965 ‘Waqt’ remake?

Reports say that the production house wishes to see Amitabh Bachchan in Balraj Sahni’s role, with Akshay Kumar in Raaj Kumar’s role and Varun Dhawan would reprise Shashi Kapoor.

Rumour has it that late Ravi Chopra’s wife Renu Chopra is planning to remake Yash Chopra’s 1965 cult classic ‘Waqt’, but based on the present times. And for this, they also have begun looking for actors for the perfect cast.

Reports say that the production house wishes to see Amitabh Bachchan in Balraj Sahni’s role, with Akshay Kumar in Raaj Kumar’s role and Varun Dhawan would reprise Shashi Kapoor.

‘Waqt’, starring Balraj Sahni, Sunil Dutt, Shashi Kapoor, Raaj Kumar, Sadhana, Sharmila Tagore and Achala Sachdev, was one of the biggest hits of the years and first of its kind in the genre.
