The second season of TV show “Gotham” is set to begin by explaining the origin of the Joker.
Executive producer Bruno Heller revealed that the forthcoming season of the Fox show will tell the story of “how the Joker came to be”, reported Digital Spy. “You’re not going to see teases of the Joker before the end of the season, because the beginning of season two is a big Joker-oriented, or ‘how the Joker came to be’ kind of story,” Heller told ComicBook.com.
“The beginning of season two is the very earliest origins of how the Joker came to be,” he added.
The show’s executive producer John Stephens recently revealed that Jerome (Cameron Monaghan) – a disturbed carnival worker heavily implied to be a younger version of the Joker – will be back for “Gotham” season two.
It was also previously announced that “Gotham” will introduce Clayface, the Mad Hatter and Mr Freeze in its second season.
“Gotham” has already introduced versions of classic Batman foes the Penguin, Catwoman, the Riddler and the Scarecrow.
