Amitabh Bachchan: Daughters are special
Amitabh Bachchan attended a special screening of director Mani Ratnam’s latest Tamil film “O Kadhal Kanmani” last evening with daughter Shweta.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who will be next seen in “Piku” — a film that revolves around a father-daughter relationship, says daughters bring joy, happiness and luck to a household.
“Daughters are special ! They are Saraswati, they are Lakshmi, they are Sita and Durga .. they are Ma and Maata .. they are so we are .. They come to us by birth. They embrace our lives with the warmth and the comfort of ‘the lady in the house’. They bring the light in the darkness, the quenching of thirst on parched throats, the twinkle of little bells when they move, their khilkhilahat is the most pleasant and expectant sound in any home. They build homes. They guide our paths…,” Bachchan wrote on his blog.

Bachchan, 72, proud father of Shweta Bachchan-Nanda, said he felt lucky to be at a point in his life where his real and reel life are in sync. “I am with daughter by my side these days.
