Deepika Padukone calls Kangana Ranaut to clear misunderstandings

Deepika Padukone, was said to have given a cold shoulder to Kangana Ranaut cleared the air of misunderstandings by giving her a call.

Bollywood was once about make and break relationships, but the younger lot of actors are not carrying this legacy forward. They believe in being friends and clearing misunderstandings quickly.

And the latest to do this is Deepika Padukone. Bollywood’s Leela was said to have given a cold shoulder to ‘Queen’ actress Kangana Ranaut but she has finally cleared the air of misunderstandings with the latter. Deepika called up Kangana, who is currently with her parents in Manali (Himchal Pradesh), to clear any misunderstandings.

It all started at an award function where Deepika Padukone won the award for Best Actress during the days when Kangana was bagging all Best Actress awards for her film ‘Queen’. It was at that time that the leggy lass had dedicated her award to Kangana for her performance in ‘Queen’.

Later, Kangana said that most of her friends and contemporaries like Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan had called her in person but Deepika didn’t.

Finally, Deepika took a step ahead and called Kangana to clear the misunderstanding.

Kangana Ranaut told Hindustan Times, “Deepika called me, and clarified that she had no personal equation with me to make a direct call. Also, I explained to her how it would have been unjust for me to publicly acknowledge an award from her when I have decided not to attend any awards functions. It was an emotional and heartfelt conversation. I appreciate that she called me; she is truly courteous and very emotional, and I just love that.”

After a cold war, don’t be surprised if you see Kangana and Deepika as the newest best friends in town.
