The latest heartthrob Fawad Khan, who won the Filmfare for his debut in ‘Khoobsurat’, seems to be riding high considering he will soon be joining the Dharma clan for ‘Kapoor & Sons’. However, his third Bollywood outing with his first Bollywood co-star Sonam Kapoor, ‘Battle of Bittora’ (based on the book written by Anuja Chauhan by the same name), is yet to go on floor.

However, producer Rhea Kapoor (Sonam’s sister) has finally decided to start with the film and it is all set to roll in June. The film, however, was never meant to be delayed but had to be postponed considering that the two actors have their calendars full. As of now, Sonam Kapoor has kick started with the Neerja Bhanot biopic based on a senior manager of the air crew, who is also the youngest woman to receive the civilian bravery award. On the other hand, Fawad Khan has started to shoot for ‘Kapoor & Sons’ along with Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.
The film yet again sees the lead pair, Fawad Khan and Sonam Kapoor playing diametrically opposite characters (like ‘Khoobsurat’) but however, it is set against a political backdrop. Two ambitious political families pitted against each other over their fight for power, ‘Battle of Bittora’ has the childhood sweethearts and the legal heirs of the family, thrown at a battlefield wherein they are expected to win the elections at any cost.
