Louis C.K. to direct, write, and star in new indie film I'm a Cop
Louis C.K. has already earned critical acclaim as the director, writer, and star of the FX series Louie. Now, he’s looking to apply that same formula to the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedian has signed on to direct, write, and star in a forthcoming indie film titled I’m a Cop.
The movie will mark C.K.’s first big screen directorial project since 2001’s ill-fated Pootie Tang, which he also wrote. C.K. was ultimately removed from Pootie Tang during post-production, and later referred to it as “a very huge mistake,” but he recently said he’s learned a lot from the experience, and is ready for the challenge. I’m a Cop tells the story of a “depressed middle-aged man” who pursues a career in law enforcement…
