Salman, 49, was sentenced by a sessions court to five years’ rigorous imprisonment in the 2002 hit-and-run case, but he swiftly moved the Bombay High Court which granted him interim bail till May 8 to hear his appeal against conviction.

“Today was a day filled with ups and downs, highs and lows. We leave the rest to God and hope and pray for the best. Thank you all for being with us!,” Arpita posted on Twitter last night.

The “Dabangg” star’s two brothers, Sohail khan, Arbaaz Khan, sisters Alvira and Arpita Khan and parents Salim Khan and Salma were by his side when he visited the court yesterday.
Arpita tied the knot with Aayush Sharma last year in a grand ceremony hosted by Salman.
