On being asked to comment about his father on Twitter, Ranbir had said on Thursday: “My father and me are different people. I think Twitter and my father are made for each other because my father likes to speak his mind. He can be really funny and controversial also. And I guess people like that, they don’t want to see politically correct people and my father is the most politically incorrect person.”
In the past Rishi Kapoor has also blogged about problems with his son Ranbir Kapoor, who is not on any social networking site and known to be extremely private when it comes to discussing his personal life and relationships. (Read: Ranbir doesn’t live with us, says Rishi Kapoor )
However, the ‘Bombay Velvet actor says he has nothing against Twitter. “I feel that for an actor we don’t really have freedom of speech. You say something and there are so many interpretations. Now, why should I take this extra headache of saying something and then holding a press conference where I have to explain and clarify. So I have my own personal reservations,” said Ranbir Kapoor.
Rishi Kapoor had in one of his tweets had written that he is not his son’s mailbox.
He had posted: “Another thing. I am Not and repeat NOT Ranbirs Post Box that you can drop messages or post them. Thank you,I remain yours truly-Rishi Kapoor.”
