IPL 8: Kevin Pietersen to join Sunrisers Hyderabad

After being snubbed by England’s new Director of Cricket Andrew Strauss, Kevin Pietersen will join the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Indian Premier League team said on Wednesday.
“Kevin Pietersen will be joining us on the 15th of May in India. SRH picked Kevin at this year’s auction and he will be available to take part in the remainder of our campaign this season,” said Mr. K. Shanmugam, CEO, SunRisers Hyderabad.
SRH who are now approaching the play-offs of the tournament will be strengthened by the addition of Pietersen in their middle-order.
“It is great news that KP will be joining us earlier than planned. To add a world-class batsman to squad at the business end of the tournament is a huge bonus, we look forward to welcoming him to our squad,” said Tom Moody, Head Coach, SunRisers Hyderabad.
Pietersen will be available for the selection when SRH take on MI in their last home game in Hyderabad on May 17.
