Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty visited a hospital here for a routine check-up and he is now at home, his son Mahaakshay has said.

According to reports, Mithun was admitted to a hospital because of vomitting and fever, raising concerns on Sunday.

Clearing the air about it, Mahaakshay told IANS: “These are just rumours. My dad is absolutely fine and he is at home. He had just gone for a routine check-up on Sunday and he is absolutely fine.”

Mithun, 64, who is also a Trinamool Congress MP, was recently questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the multi-crore Saradha chitfund scam.
