Siddharth Pandya in an emotional note said that his ‘Nirbhaya is gone’ and lashed out at pedestrians who passed by his sister as she lay bleeding without attending to her.
“After being told to come to a trauma centre on the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link road, the only thing echoing in my ears from then on has been what my dad said ‘ben nathi’ (your sister has died) and mom said ‘mane mari deeri joiye che’ (I want my daughter back),” Siddharth’s note read.
Siddharth shared his disbelief regarding the incident that took place on the busy Western Express Highway during peak hours.
Speaking about the accused who is still at large and what he could have done, Siddharth said “he (the accused) should have shown some empathy and rushed her to a nearby hospital which was only 2 minutes away from the accident site or at least given her first aid, she would be alive”.
Siddharth ended his 789-word note speaking about his sister and her last few months and what she had planned.
“She was so excited about her job that the only things she used to discuss with us would be work, work environment, her colleagues and how much she was liking her job. She was very proud of herself that she had a job all by herself. She used to discuss in detail how could she become a good professional. My parents and I had never seen her so happy in life and she had made plans to save whatever she earned and take mom to Leh – Ladakh next year,” Siddharth said.
According to the statements recorded by the police, Archana was believed to be lying injured for nearly 20 minutes before the Vanrai police station before she was rushed to hospital only to declared dead on arrival.
