Both are highly ambitious projects and have enormous star power. While ‘Dilwale’ has Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, after so many years, and Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in the lead, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ has the deadly trio of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.

But it seems Bhansali’s magnum opus will get delayed only to release early next year. Reports says that the delay is due to Ranveer’s shoulder injury for which he even underwent a surgery earlier this year.
Ranveer had been advised three weeks complete bedrest followed by physiotherapy.
This has certainly delayed the shoot of major portions of the movie, as reported by mid-day.com.
Another report published in Mirror suggests that Ranveer, despite been advised against, landed on the movie sets soonafter his surgery, but he was in a situation of complete ‘meltdown’.
The actor says he was very anxious as he returned to the sets after long to shoot for an intense scene. He was quoted as saying, “I was extremely nervous when I drove down to the shoot. I had not faced the camera in two-and-a-half months and I was having a near meltdown.”
As always happens with the warm and loving actor, his father came to his rescue. “As I always do in times like these, I called up my father,” Ranveer said.
“My father was very reassuring and told me that it was just like swimming. He assured me I’d be just fine. I heard him out, reached the set, put on my costume and I immediately felt like the great Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao. After that I went out there and nailed it. And Mr Bhansali liked my shot,” he happily added.
