Porn clip gives Metro commuters some fun, DMRC the blushes
A pornographic clip on one of the large LED advertisement screens at the busy Rajiv Chowk Metro station in the afternoon went viral on social media on Saturday, and many commuters paused to record the video. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Delhi police are investigating the matter. No case has been registered so far.
The video surfaced in one of the 12-grid LED screens at the Metro station. The 30-second clip showed some people recording a bit of porn being played on the small grid while others were busy changing lines without bothering to watch it. Sources said that, on April 9 also, a video had played on the screen. The DMRC is verifying the claim.
DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal said: “The DMRC is not aware about the clip. The LED screen was being tested by a private contractor and it is yet to be commissioned.” He said that all details of the testing and commissioning process will be checked. We are also checking whether such a clip was indeed played and we will take adequate safeguards.
