No politics for Manisha Koirala: The actress explains why!
Manisha Koirala’s father Prakash was a former minister of environment, science and technology , and her paternal grandfather Bisheshwar Prasad Koirala was the Prime Minister of Nepal. However, the actress is not keen to get into the political arena.
On being quizzed about it, she shared, “I don’t see myself getting into active politics in Nepal.“ She adds, “I want to do something for the country for sure, which is as much my home as India is. I actually do whatever little I can but I don’t discuss the details ever. In future too, I will be engaged in some time-bound projects there. I will stay in Nepal for as long as the project is on but eventually, I will return to my cocoon in India. At heart, I’m still an artiste, and a bit of a loner and recluse. So, I need my shell around me no matter where I go and what I do.“
On the work front, Manisha’s film Dear Maya just released and she has also played Ranbir Kapoor’s mother in the Sanjay Dutt biopic.
