International Yoga Day: When PM Modi doubled up as yoga instructor for youths, children

For 19-year-old Prensha, a yoga enthusiast, the third International Yoga Day will always remain a special day in her life as she got an opportunity to perform asanas while sitting within a close range of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A resident of Misrikh of neighbouring Sitapur district, Prensha said that she was so thrilled seeing the prime minister that she started following the asanas being performed by him. “Modi coming here and performing yoga in the company of children and youths was perhaps the most surprising event of my life,” she told PTI, as she tried hard come out of the memorable occasion. As Modiji came toward us, we greeted him with a loud cheer, she added. For 18-year-old Adamya Saxena, “Performing yoga in this weather was like performing rain dance with friends”.
