Should ‘Tubelight’ be made tax free? Salman Khan has an interesting take!
Salman Khan’s much anticipated film Tubelight has hit the theatres on Friday. The movie also stars Sohail Khan, late veteran actor Om Puri, child actor Matin Rey Tangu and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu.
The Kabir Khan directorial has met with a mixed response from the critics, nevertheless it’s a treat for all the Salman fans out there. Recently, at an event when Salman was asked if he feels that the movie should be made tax free, so that it’s message of peace reached out to the maximum number of people, the actor had an interesting take on the matter.
Salman said, “Honi toh chahiye tax free. All such movies that are good should be made tax free. But if all the movies were made tax free then how will the government get entertainment tax? Government also needs money. We should also take care of the government na? So taxes are a good thing, lekin zyada nahi hone chahiye (smiles).”
Tubelight portrays the story of unwavering faith, love and hope that Laxman has and how he goes against all odds to bring his brother Bharat back from war.It is set against the backdrop of the Indo-China war of 1962.
