Noida home buyers’ dream houses in limbo
Around 500 home buyers, who have purchased apartments in different projects of Amrapali builders in Noida and Greater Noida staged a protest outside the office of the Amrapali group in Noida’s Sector 62 on Saturday. They were protesting against the builder for the inordinate delay in construction of the flats.
The homebuyers said their long wait for the Amrapali builders to show some progress in construction on ground, resulted in this resentment and protest.
“Our patience has run out. There are many projects, and no result on the ground. What are we supposed to do in such a situation?” said Shweta Bharti, General Secretary, Nefowa.
“This protest is long overdue. We have been waiting for action to be taken. It is already July and another year is rolling by,” Bharti added.
Amrapali group,on the other hand, has proposed to the Noida and Greater Noida authority that they can remedy this situation with the help of co-developers.
“It is only a matter of time before the proposal for accepting co-developers is approved. It is the only way out. Buyers should understand that we have submitted a schedule of completion and we won’t be able to build 40,000 flats overnight.” said Shiv Priya, Executive Director, Amrapali group.
