Sansad can be opened at night for GST, but no time to discuss farmer issues: Rahul Gandhi
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi targeted both state and central governments during the Kisan Aakrosh rally in Banswara on Wednesday.
Rahul said that before coming here this morning, “I was in the Lok Sabha, where Congress had asked for time for discussion. We wanted to talk about the agony of farmers but the farmers demand could not be raised in the Lok Sabha today,” said Rahul. He further added that the Parliament can be opened at night for GST, but it is not allowed to discuss the issues of farmers for a minute.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi met the families of several farmers in Banswara, who recently committed suicide. Wives of five deceased farmers reached the meeting with their children in the age between 6 months and one year. They told Rahul that there was no bread earner in many families after the farmers committed suicide.
While addressing the rally, Rahul Gandhi said that the army of Congress workers defeated the British. “In front of the Congress army, RSS and BJP armies have no meaning and we are not afraid of them.
