Govt panel meets homebuyers, promises action
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appointed committee, which looks in to the grievances of homebuyers, met the builders and buyers of different housing societies on Wednesday.
The committee is headed by Suresh Khanna, state Minister of Urban Development, is on two days visit to the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida. It held a meeting with officers and buyers to understand the real problem that is causing delay in possession.
KK Kaushal, a buyer said they have been on hunger strike for 20 days. He said, “We have submitted our demands to the committee and they noted it down. They have assured us that they would extend all support to ensure that the builder gives possession to each buyer. Though the minister assured that they are with us but we will continue our strike till we are not given a definite possession deadline.”
Pramod Kumar, a buyer from Jaypee Wishtown, said, “As the company has declared itself bankrupt, How are we going to get our flats? Where is our life time saving heading towards. We need our flats.
