BJP plans 2 yatras to bolster campaign
Gujarat BJP is going to surge in the massive political campaign through Gujarat Gaurav Yatra that will be flagged off by BJP national chief Amit Shah on October 1 from Karamsad. The campaign will conclude in presence of PM Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad on October 16.
The Yatra is going to cover the entire state. One group of campaigners will begin from Karmasad, the hometown of Sardar Patel, on October 1. This part of the Yatra is expected to cover central, southern and northern parts of the state, while another slot of Yatra will commence from Porbandar, Mahatma Gandhi’s native on October 2, covering Saurashtra and Kutch region of Gujarat.
The roadmap for Yatra was decided during party’s executive committee meeting held in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. The poll in-charge of BJP in Gujarat and union minister Arun Jaitley, who convened the meeting, said, “The Gujarat Gaurav Yatra will be held on two different routes and our leaders will approach the voters of all 182 constituencies covering the distance of 4,600 km across the state. The rally will be flagged of by Party president Amit Shah while the same will conclude in Ahmedabad in presence of PM Narendra Modi on October 16.”
