While the Supreme Court may have banned crackers sale on Diwali in the national capital and others are finding ways to have a pollution-free Diwali, RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s son Tej Pratap has a very unique idea.

So what does the 28-year-old proposes?

‘Crackers cause pollution, better is to blow up balloons and burst them. There will be no harm in this, Tej Pratap Yadav was quoted as saying by the news agency ANI.

The interesting advice comes at a time when major metro cities are battling with poor air quality.

A day before Diwali, Delhi was in ‘red zone’ with major areas reporting very bad air quality.

However, Bhiwadi in Rajasthan ha the worst air quality in the entire country. The industrial hub had ‘severe’ air quality index.

The Central Pollution Control Board has predicted severe level of air quality of Delhi on Diwali. CPCB member secretary A Sudhakar said, “The level of moisture in the air will shoot up on October 20. Speed of local wind movement, which plays a crucial role in dispersing pollutants, will also be low thus resulting in accumulation of pollutants,” .
