Election Commission to announce dates for Gujarat elections today
Dates for elections in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state Gujarat will be announced today. The Election Commission is likely to make the announcement around 12 noon. There are reports that the polls will be conducted in two phases. The BJP is looking for straight fifth win in the state.
Govt unveils package to boost growth, to infuse Rs 2.11 lakh crore into public sector bank
In a major push to boost growth, Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday cleared a whopping Rs 14 lakh crore package that included investments in key development sectors such as Rural Roads, Housing, Railways, Power, Highways and Digital Infrastructure, apart from a massive recapitalisation plan for public sector banks.
