JK Rowling called out for being silent about Johnny Depp’s domestic abuse
JK Rowling has been vocal about the ongoing sexual harassment controversies surrounding whose who of Hollywood. But when a Harry Potter asked her a question about casting Johnny Depp in the sequel of ‘Fantastic Beasts’, who has been accused of physically abusing ex-wife Amber Heard, Rowling blocked the fan.
According to Twitter user @hobbitlindsey, she tagged the author asking her, “So if I understand correctly the actor who played Crabbe, a minor character, was fired from Harry Potter for doing drugs. Yet Johnny Depp, who abused his wife, gets a major role in your movies? Correct me if I am wrong @jk_rowling.”

Lindsey claims that she never spammed the author, yet after the tweet was posted, the Fantastic Beast creator chose to block her instead of addressing the issue like she has done in previous cases.
