Warm up to the midi
The midi length silhouette is having a moment right now — from Celine to Chloe, from Marni to Jacquemus, from Ports 1961 to Sies Marjan — designers across the board presented midi-length ensembles in their offerings for Spring Summer 2018.
Designer Salita Nanda suggests, “You can play with it in both casual and formal formats. Designers across the board have toyed with it with a lot of sheer lace, also in plaid and gingham styles.”
Next week, designer Payal Singhal is showcasing a line of all midi length lehengas at Ogaan. “I feel midi length is cooler compared to the floor length and the mini. However, you need to have great legs.”
Payal has teamed cropped cholis with midi length skirts. “Girls like to show off their shoes in the party circuits. In fact, a lot of them like the midi style as it helps them put focus on their statement elaborate shoes,” says Singhal.
