Gujarat elections 2017: Video shows BJP workers gifting sarees, ‘buying’ votes
A day before the second phase of polls in the state, a video of unconfirmed BJP workers influencing people by giving them sarees and snacks have gone viral. There is no one to authenticate as to who shot the video.
A few videos of several politicians have gone viral on social media over the last couple of days. In the latest video that was shot in a rural area shows a group of angry women, alleging BJP party workers for bribing them.
The one-minute-and-nineteen-second video seems to be shot on a mobile phone. Another woman is saying that after the meeting they give us snacks worth Rs50 and gave Saree worth Rs100 and asked us to vote for BJP.
On Tuesday, a video has been viral of BJP’s Jamalpur Khadia candidate Bhushan Bhatt in which he is seen asking people to come for a public meeting of Narendra Modi and he doesn’t care about Election Commission’s code of conduct. He, in that video is saying to mass that he will give a token for the fuel so that a large number of people can be reached to the public meeting.
