After donkeys, UP Police detains Labrador in Bareilly for 2 days over ownership dispute
Uttar Pradesh Police has done it again! After arresting eight donkeys in Jalaun for grazing expensive plants, Bareilly cops detained a Labrador dog for two days at the Civil Lines Police Station after an ownership dispute.
Monu, a resident of Maharaj Nagar in Bareilly district had lodged a complaint with the Civil Lines police that his black-coloured Labrador was missing for the last three months.
In his complaint, the owner of the dog stated that he had seen and located his dog at Nishant’s residence in Nekpur area where the Labrador was chained at the rooftop. He sought police help for the recovery of his favourite dog.
On his information, the Civil Lines Police located and recovered the missing dog from Nishant’s house. But the new owner refused to hand over the dog staking his claim on the Labrador.
Following dispute between the two owners, the police detained the dog and chained outside Civil Lines Police Station from an electric pole to sort out the ownership dispute.
Both the owners were asked to produce proofs to substantiate their ownership claim on the Labrador.
