Benjamin Netanyahu to break bread with top biz honchos
Top 20 industrialists and businessmen representing the Tata Group, Reliance Industries, Reliance ADAG, Mahindra & Mahindra and Bharat Forge will have a breakfast meeting with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his day-long visit to Mumbai on January 18.
Netanyahu, who is leading a delegation of 50 companies from Israel, will later address an interactive session with select 250 CEOs at a city five star hotel.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) sources told DNA, “Netanyahu’s visit will further boost the partnership between the two countries in key areas identified such as water and agriculture, defence manufacturing, science and technology, cyber security, start-up and innovation, and research and development.”
“Israel has a strong hi-tech economy, highly innovative industry, and free trade agreements with US, European Union and Mercusor.”
On its part, India is a giant market with huge agricultural sector (17% of GDP), growing infrastructure, many initiatives such as Digital India, Make In India, Smart Cities, Skill India, renewable energy capacity addition which offer much opportunity to Israeli companies.
