PIO Parliamentary Conference | World Bank, IMF and Moody’s are looking at India in very positive way, says PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the first Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) Parliamentary Conference at New Delhi’s Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra on Tuesday.
Addressing the lawmakers, the Prime Minister said that the world is looking at India with renewed focus. And the key is the fact that India has transformed. He also spoke about how global fionancial institutions such as the International Monetary Fund, the World Band and credit rating agency Moody’s are viewing India in a very positive manner.
Elaborating about new India, the PM said that ‘India has moved way ahead of the ‘jaisa pehle tha vaisa chalta rahega, kuch badlega nahi’ thinking, aims and aspirations of our people are on an all time high & that is because of the transformation the country is going through.’
PM Modi also detailed about new investments in the country. “Keeping in mind the needs of 21st century, the government is increasing the investment in technology, transportation,” he said.
“More than half the investment in sectors like construction, air transport, mining, computer software, hardware, electrical equipment and many others, till now has happened in the last three years,” he added.
