Padmaavat | Karni Sena refuses to end protests; pelt stones, vandalise shops in Ahmedabad
With barely two days left for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat to release, Shree Rajput Karni Sena has refused to end protests against the film and are now resorting to ruckus in some places.
On Tuesday, members of Rajput Karni Sena pelted stones and vandalised shops in Ahmedabad against the film’s release.
Earlier, Rajsput Karni Sena staged a protest against the period drama in Jaipur and issued a issued a chilling warning to those interested in watch the movie.
“We are confident that no cinema hall will screen the film. If someone does they should be ready to bear the consequences. Consider it a warning or request,” a Karni Sena member was quoted as saying by ANI. On Monday, some protesters created a ruckus and tore the poster of ‘Padmaavat’ outside a movie hall Telangana.
The manager of Tivoli Theatre said that they informed about the same to Begumpet police, following which they reached there and pacified the matter. “Few persons came to Tivoli Theatre and tore the posters of Padmaavat, which is going to be screened on 25. We immediately informed the matter to Begumpet police. They reached the spot and spoke to them and sent them back,” the manager said.
