Hyderabad youth critical after selfie in front of tain goes horribly wrong
In a shocking incident that highlights the dangers of attempting suicidal selfies, a man from Hyderabad ended up in hospital after he was hit by a Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) train on Monday. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the man has multiple injuries to his head and face.
The video, which was taken down by YouTube due to its graphic nature, shows the man, identified only as Shiva, smiling at his smartphone camera as the train approaches from behind. As he is about to shoot the video, someone is heard warning him, but to no avail.
The speeding train suddenly hits the man and the image goes blank after a loud sound. The audio, still on, indicates a commotion as people realise what happened and rush towards the injured man.
The video comes a day after a Kashmiri man shoots a death-defying stunt in which he lies on a railway track while a speeding train passes over him. The video has taken the social media by storm, prompting calls for strict action to prevent it from becoming a trend.
