Interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma reaches out to Kashmiri youth in Pune
Going beyond Jammu and Kashmir, the center’s interlocutor to Kashmir Dineshwar Sharma held dialogues with Kashmiri youth in Pune where he admitted that long duration of conflict in the valley has created distrust between Kashmiris and people from rest of the country. “Kashmiri youth going in other parts of the country are facing problems due to this distrust and we all will have to come together to make sure that the distrust vanishes completely,” Sharma said here on Monday.
Sharma was in Pune where he participated in a discussion organised by NGO Sarhad with Kashmiri youth staying in Pune. During the discussion, he emphasised that he is speaking to police officials of various states to make sure that the Kashmiri youth staying in those states are not harassed.
Answering to one of the questions raised by a Kashmiri youth that they face problems in other states only because they are Kashmiri, Sharma said, “There is a lot of distrust between Kashmiris and people from rest of the country.
