Light rain brings down temperature in city
Parts of the state, including Capital Gadhinagar and Ahmedabad, received light rainfall on Monday that brought down the temperature considerably. The local MET department said the weather is likely to persist for the next two days.
The temperature in the city dropped to two degrees Celsius because of the sudden change in weather. On Monday, the minimum temperature was 28.1 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature 16 degrees Celsius.
“At present, southwesterly winds along with a cyclonic circulation is creating over Rajasthan,” said Mahesh Palavat, Chief Meteorologist at Skymet Weather. “A trough line has created from South Gujarat to South East Arabian sea. This will give cloudy weather and drizzle at some places, and this will bring down the temperature in the region. There is no chance of rain.” The city is expected to record light rainfall in pockets with an overcast sky. The maximum temperature will remain around 31 degrees Celsius while minimum temperature around 16 degrees Celsius. “There was a relief in the dry weather after clouds appeared on Monday,” said Manish Patel, a resident of Vasna. “While returning to home there was drizzle also at some places I have witness while returning to home from work.”
