Maharashtra resolved 1447 grievances through public hearings

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s office has claimed that barring one complaint, the CM has addressed all 1448 complaints sent by citizens during the monthly Lokshahi Din session where people can submit their grievances directly to him.

The Lokshahi Din session is held on every first Monday of the month and is conducted online by the CM. The CM has conducted 105 Lokshahi Din sessions in the last three years. Fadnavis hears and attempts to solve the public’s problems during these sessions. Fadnavis’s office claims that he has addressed 1447 complaints submitted by the citizens.

During one such session on Monday, the CM directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to conduct a spot visit headed by an additional commissioner regarding unauthorised construction on a nullah in Bandra. The complaint in this regard was submitted by a Bandra resident, Shilu Nanwani. The CM also asked the BMC to submit a report regarding the spot visit.

On Monday, the CM resolved 12 grievances, which also included Nanwani’s complaint.

In another complaint, Chanbasappa Ghongde from Solapur complained about fake documents made using his land records. According to his complaint, Ghongde owns land at Lohara in Osmanabad district and someone had misused his land records to make fake documents. …read more
