Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur feels Virat Kohli will ‘struggle’ to score a century on Pak soil
Virat Kohli is the best all-format batsman in the world at the moment. He might be pipped in Test cricket by Australian captain Steve Smith, but overall, there’s isn’t a batsman as complete as him.
This isn’t a statement we’re shooting in the air, it’s a sentiment echoed by most pundits of the game across the world.
The Indian captain has international centuries in each of the nine major countries he has played in. One would tip the 29-year-old to come up trumps against any opposition, on any given day. The talismanic right-hander has 21 Test hundreds and another 33 in ODIs to his credit. To put things in perspective, that’s more international centuries than the great Rahul Dravid (48). And make no mistake, Kohli is barely halfway through his career as yet.
Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur, however, believes Kohli would struggle to score a century in one particular country. That, of course, is Pakistan.
