Centre can learn from West Bengal on how to function: Mamata Banerjee
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday once again hit out at the Central government over the Punjab National Bank fraud, saying that it wasn’t the only bank involved and the names of other banks would surface in future.
“It had been part of a long term planning. Other banks like Baroda Bank and Canara Bank are also involved. Specific people had been hired dubiously for the purpose. The plan was made a year ahead of notebandi. If a thorough investigation is conducted, many big names would be unearthed. We need to find out who all are involved in this fraud,” she said.
Without naming the BJP, the West Bengal Chief Minister also alleged that several large parties were spending crores to win polls, but cautioned that money won’t be able to buy democracy.
She also talked about the newly-build BJP party office in New Delhi and said that it was unfortunate that a party like BJP was in power at the Centre. “It is infringing upon people’s rights and making its own wealth, setting up one of the world’s largest party offices in New Delhi.
